Music industry's biggest night gives the chance to artists to dress up and show their individual fashion senses, but some failed and ended up on the worst dressed list.

Red carpet arrivals are crucial for awards nights, especially when the fashion police is veering in like hawks. The first shocker of the night went to Adele. Though exceptionally talented with a stellar voice and exquisite records, the singer lacks guidance in the style department.

Adele wore a long sleeved below-the-knee floral dress by Valentino that looks like she was catapulted from an old lady's closet in the 50's. The dress did not do favors for her curvy and vivacious figure at all.

MTV presentor, Alexa Chung, is known for her carefree and edgy side, but it doesn't give her the excuse to attend this prestigious event in a boring RED Valentino summer frock. Teens could be seen wearing her outfit when they go to the mall, and this kind of attire definitely does not fit a red carpet event such as the Grammys. She could have exerted a little effort in making her presence stand out and appreciated.

Kat Dennings wore a Vivenne Westwood purple strapless gown, which looked "okay" rather than stunning. It made her look more aged and her natural curves were not accentuated even a little bit. Dennings introduced the performance of winners, The Black Keys.

Ashanti, though trying to look regal and glamorous in her black, embroidered Tony Ward couture dress, the singer failed to impress. She posed for the cameras holding her billowing skirt sideways, making her look like she's wearing your grandmother's curtain on her leg.
