World No 1 Serena Williams willingly took the stage and sing her own rendition of "Oh, Istanbul" during the World Tennis Association (WTA) championship draw ceremony on Sunday night held in Istanbul, Turkey. Serena's singing performance was definitely the best part of the night.

Williams dazzled the crowd in a red dress and a pair of black stilettos. It sure is nice to see sporty women dress nicely at an event like this. Williams was joined by other tennis hotties, such as Victoria Azarenka, Li Na, Jelena Jankovic, Petra Kvitova, Agnieszki Radwanska, Sara Errani and Angelique Kerber.

The tournament officially starts on Tuesday, and a party just to relax and enjoy a night of music is just exactly what these athletic women need.

These athletes were already placed in their respective groups. Williams, Kvitova, Radwanska and Kerber are in the Red Group. For the white group, Azarenka is joined by Li Na, Errani, and Jankovic.

Williams' group appears to be the stronger of the two. Kerber, Kvitova and Radwanska play really well. It will be exciting to witness the match between Williams and Kvitova. The two already played against each other in Doha where Williams won.

In the other group, Azarenka is also to watch out for. Even though she didn't do well in the Asian tournaments, she still holds the most number of wins over the other three women in her group.

Williams is hopeful to protect and look after her title. She won against Sharapova in the last year's match. Even if Williams didn't win the championships, surely, she will still retain the number 1 rank as she had already won 10 titles this season. However, if she will win the WTA championship, it will be like an icing on the cake for her career.
