Hazy rumors have been circulating the Aussie side of the web regarding famous rap group Wu Tang Clan appearing in the country for several shows, and finally, they have been confirmed. Ghostface Killah, Wu Tang's prominent member, has announced tour dates on August and Aussie hip hop fans couldn't be more thrilled.

The rumors started when a Facebook page was set up as a petition to bring the New York legendary rap group to Australia, with 10,000 users all over the country joining the force. After the group weighed their options, they decided to pay the south a visit. The group's announcement also includes a line-up of GZA, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Mastah Killah and Raekwon, assuring fans the group will be complete once they get on our shores.

"We got love for Australia and Australia has love for us. We wish we could come over there more often but we just need the right promoters to call us and stuff like that" says Ghostface Killah in a statement sent to ABC's triple j. So far, Wu Tang has confirmed 3 show dates: August 5th at Sydney's Enmore Theatre, August 6th at Festival Hall in Melbourne and finally on August 7th at the Metro City in Perth. The first two shows will feature Melbourne's very own Phaze One with the third and final leg featuring Vents.

The 8-man rap group has been influencing fans and future raps superstars since their powerful debut in 1992, and has been named as MTV's greatest hip hop group of all time. With 5 successful albums and blossoming individual careers, Wu Tang continues their hip hop legacy up to this day. Aside from their personal endeavors, Wu Tang is responsible for introducing and producing some of the most sensational hip hop acts in the industry such as Killa Beez, Nas and Mobb Deep.
