Apple's WWDC 2013 in California not only revealed the revamped iOS7 and iOS in the Car but it also unveiled a series of products from the company. The newest refreshed line of Apple Macbook Air ultraportable laptop computers was also introduced. The laptops start at $999 to $1099 - ready for purchase at the Apple store.

Apple announced that the new line of Macbook Air will not have a new design or new Retina displays. Rather, the company is focusing on improving four other key areas: SSD storage, battery life, processing power and next generation. The company is also investing on standard support for Wifi.

Intel seems to be dominating most computers released and Macbook will run on the same processor. Apple will offer two types of processor for their newest Macbook Air series: a 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (3MB Cache, up to 2.6GHz Turbo Boost) and a 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 (4MB Cache, up to 3.3GHz Turbo Boost). Models include an 11 and 13-inch Air.

The new processors come with Intel's new Intel HD Graphics 5000 integrated GPU. The latest integrated graphics solution gives users a video mirroring and dual display setup. This is around 2500 by 1600 maximum resolution for the laptop's external display.

The new Intel processors promise optimal and exceptional computing performance. With the revamped battery system, this means better power and functionality for Macbook Air. Apple claims with the Haswell processor, the 11-inch model can last up to 19 hours. Before, the 11-inch laptop can also last up to 5 hours. The 13-inch Air, on the other hand, will last around 12 hours. Previously, it was only around 7 hours.

Staying true to their innovative nature, Apple incorporated Wi-Fi radios in their recent line of MAcbook Airs. This also supports the latest 802.11ac standard. Apple shifted their SSD storage system making it faster. Capacity options remain the same: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
