The World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE, is courting current Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC, women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey of making a grand appearance at Wrestlemania 31 in March. The outfit recently listed the "Expendables 3" star as number 4 in the list of matches that would be a dream-come-true for wrestling.

"A lifelong fan of WWE, Rousey already has sports-entertainment ties after adopting Roddy Piper's 'Rowdy' nickname and leading a stable of female MMA fighters called 'The Four Horsewomen.' It also doesn't hurt that Rousey is known for her vicious armbar submission and unapologetic trash talking. Seeing Rousey step inside the squared circle is a dream scenario that needs to happen in 2015," WWE staff writer Scott Taylor explained why they placed Rowdy fourth in the list.

Rousey has made no secret of her fondness for the WWE. She even had made a sideline appearance as an audience in last year's Summer Slam and is close friends with lady boss Stephanie McMahon, whom she helped complete the Ice Bucket Challenge last year after the Summer Slam main event. The 27-year-old judoka has expressed her interest in becoming a heel in the WWE and following the footsteps of her idol, Rowdy Piper, and form her version of Four Horsewomen.

It is unclear if UFC head honcho Dana White will allow such arrangement with Rousey given that she is an exclusive talent of the outfit. White faced a similar predicament in 2010 when Vince McMahon and company lured in former talent Brock Lesnar for a possible match with The Undertaker. The prospect of the two men slugging it out in the ring got a lot of legs when The Undertaker appeared ringside during UFC 121 and following Lesnar's loss to Cain Velasquez, the Undertaker got "The Beast Incarnate's" attention with some choice words.

Nevertheless, the prospect never came into fruition in 2010 as White only agreed to allow the wrestling outfit to use his talent in their merchandise and in the video game "WWE '12." Eventually, Lesnar still landed with the WWE last year and captured the world heavyweight championship from John Cena at Summer Slam, with all these becoming a possibility due to a serious medical condition that prevented Lesnar from further advancing his career in the UFC.

With Rousey at the peak of her career and based on what happened in 2010, WWE followers are most likely to expect that White will never allow Vince McMahon and his cohorts to touch his most precious talent with a 10-foot pole. Still, the pipe dream is one the WWE staff writers can explore repeatedly given how much the undefeated UFC queen is enamoured with the wrestling world.
