Following the success of 2014's biggest summer flick, Guardians of the Galaxy, the chances of Dave Batista making a return to a wrestling ring is been slim. However, given that the sequel to the hit movie is still two to three years away, rumour was aplomb that the former Wrestlemania winner can soon make an appearance to the outfit, possibly in a Hell in Cell match this October.

That return has now been optimistically pushed back to Wrestlemania 31 as Batista was cast in an action film tentatively titled, Bus 657 that stars Robert de Niro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano. The movie is casino heist drama that will feature "The Animal" in a supporting role to the mastermind and looter character of Morgan. De Niro will be playing as the casino owner, according to Cage Side Seats.

Principal photography for the movie will commence this October and this will all but rule out even a brief appearance in the next few months, making Wrestlemania next year a logical choice and win-win for both parties. WWE can showcase him again in a big event and the movie star can use the exposure to promote his next film.

This will also coincide with swirling musings that his former nemesis in the WWE's biggest event, Daniel Bryan, is targeting the same season to make his comeback. Bryan is recuperating from neck and shoulder injuries he sustained in Wrestlemania. He had to vacate his title and his wife, Nikki Bella also chose to go on hiatus from wrestling to attend to his needs. Bryan is still part of the reality series, Total Divas and will be raring to get back to prominent status in the WWE given the lack of stars lifting the outfit as of the moment.

Lastly, also count in Roman Reigns as the Wrestling Observer reports in its newsletter that the young phenom is being groomed to come back at the apex of wrestling's sporting event. This is an excerpt from the said wrestling newsletter:

"WWE has been short on main eventers as of late, with Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, and Batista out of action, but all three are rumoured to be returning to competition just in time for biggest season in wresting."
