WWE News: John Cena Wins World Heavyweight Title
John Cena won the World Heavyweight Title against Alberto del Rio. The event, Hell in a Cell, took place on Sunday evening.
For the last couple of months, the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) had to think about what to do without the 36-year-old wrestler.
Cena previously announced a couple of months ago that he would not be able to play due to a torn triceps that require operation.
Cena's return to the WWE ring was something that fans didn't imagine almost immediately. After breaking his triceps and announcing that he will be gone for four months to six months, the most, WWE crushed those expectations by bringing Cena back in just a little over two months.
"Congratulations to the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena - Cena's fourteenth World Championship reign, third world heavyweight hell in a cell," tweeted WWE on its official account.
How did Cena manage to return so soon? It should not really matter. What is important is that he is back on scene. Without a doubt, Cena is an interesting WWE superstar.
Alberto del Rio, on the other hand, is deemed as one of the best in-ring talents of WWE. However, his lack of charm and personality makes most fans not to give a damn or care at all.
As for Cena, it doesn't matter whether fans love him or hate him. They tend to become nosy when he is on the television. Cena's return can guarantee to boost the ratings of the entertainment show.
So would you rather have Alberto del Rio won, or are you guys happy with John Cena's victory? Del Rio is a supreme talent who can also put on great matches with just about anyone. However, Cena can definitely bring back the prestige that the WWE needs. What do you think?
