The wrestling world was ripe with news during the weekend that Randy Orton has agreed to a new contract that will limit his appearances with the outfit in the next few months.

Speculations were plenty at Inquisitor.com that the Viper was not buoyant with the way his character was developed as a sort of supporting actor to Roman Reigns' persona. The Wrestling Observer newsletter also reported that Orton will appear only on the first week of November and will only be featured in main matches with Dean Ambrose.

However, the Viper shutdown all the talk and clarified that his fans must not believe everything that is circulating in the Internet. The wrestler took to Twitter his thoughts on the swirling news that he will lay low with the performances and is backing away from a full-time commitment with the WWE.

It's come to my attention the net is stating I signed a new deal with lesser dates. Remember people, you can't believe everything you read!

This now sets things straight that youngest heavyweight champion ever will go the route of current champion Brock Lesnar, who does not perform weekly in the RAW or Smackdown extravaganzas and instead just showing from time to time in select pay-per-view events. While the initial news said that Orton will be turning to a babyface character by next year, justifying his prolonged absence, this revelation of Legend Killer will put some doubts on whether that plan is still in place.

Fan complaints was prevalent in the last few major WWE events, with even some claiming that Orton was now going the CM Punk route, a big loss to industry. The debunking that Orton will be not turn babyface is good news to his followers as he is at his best terrorizing opponents. The draw of Orton lied in his ability to bring out the best of his rivals, though he needs some more work in the microphone department. This was in full view last year when he turned heel and cashed in his Money In The Bank contract with Daniel Bryan to be cemented as the new champion.

It would be interesting if the outfit would really choose to bring the Viper to the good side given that there are only a handful of good guys out there, John Cena and Dean Ambrose, and especially that Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are currently out due to injury. With Cena having difficulty establishing a level of credibility to challenge the Beast Incarnate, it may just be WWE's way to look out for better and intriguing pairings as the two major events go underway -- Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 31.

While Orton has not yet turned babyface, watch his best times as a heel:
