Rey Mysterio has announced his WWE return next month while former WWE champs Goldberg and Batista are reportedly close to revive their professional wrestling career.

Mysterio, who suffered an ACL injury last February, will make his return on October 16 at at Plaza de Toros Santa Maria in Querétaro, Mexico, which will start WWE's four-night Tour in the country.

The Ultimate Underdog, still in crutches, made his announcement in front of thousands of fans at the WWE Live event in Hidalgo, Texas. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were about to give the masked daredevil a rude reception, but Big Show was there to the rescue.

"Rey Mysterio appeared and announced that he will return October 16 (WWE kicks off a tour of Mexico with a show in Queretaro)!! Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns interrupted Mysterio and as they were about to attack him when Big Show came out. It was announced that Show would face Reigns and Rollins in handicap match," posted by Pro Wrestling.

Meanwhile, former WWE champs Batista and Goldberg could make their return in professional wrestling next month. In their recent interviews, both muscular wrestlers expressed their willingness to step in the ring once again after a long hiatus.

Goldbeg, who became three time world champion during his brief but productive tenure in professional wrestling, said he would like to wrestle again inside the squared circle because his son his beginning to watch his matches on Youtube.

Goldbery last appeared on WWE facing Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX. After that, Goldberg's character vanished following his feud with WWE top honchos.

Batista, former six-time world champion, is still open to make a splash in the WWE after his retirement in 2010. When asked by a number of fans when he will make his return, Batista or Dave Bautista in real name posted a sarcastic but still meaningful message on his Twitter account:

"Dear God...Please make everyone ask me when Im coming back to the WWE! Not sure if reverse psychology will work on God but its worth a shot... Apparently reverse psychology does NOT work on God. Well atleast we have the answer for that. Still....it was worth a shot."
