'Wynonna Earp' recap: 'Let's Pretend We're Strangers'
The episode before "Whiskey Lullaby" was "Let's Pretend We're Strangers," which aired on July 7. It was directed by April Mullen and written by John Callaghan. It featured Wynonna getting possessed and Waverly, Doc and Dolls tried to deal with it. Aside from that, they also had to deal with a local order of demon-slayers.
It was also revealed in the show's fifth episode that Wynonna is pregnant. Variety reports that Scrofano, who plays the titular character, was also pregnant when they shot the episode. "I did not want to hide it," Scrofano told Variety.
"I knew that the only way this was going to work was if we incorporated the pregnancy. Mel was so game," showrunner Emily Andras added.
