"The X Factor 2012" finalist Ella Henderson has finally shined. Her debut release "Ghost" claimed the number one spot in the UK singles chart on Sunday.

According to sales data generated from the Official Charts Company, the single "Ghost" sold over 132,000 copies across the United Kingdom in just a span of 7 days. By far, the shooting success of "Ghost" brought the 18-year-old British singer-songwriter to the fourth rank in the fastest selling singles of 2014.

The debut single "Ghost" was co-written by Ryan Tedder, frontman of One Republic. Teddy also wrote singles for Ellie Goulding, Leona Lewis, Beyonce and Adele.

The Official Charts Company conducted an interview with Ella Henderson after she rose to the top spot in the UK Singles Chart. Her interview was uploaded in YouTube (video below).

"When you think about the people Ryan works with, it was definitely overwhelming being in the same room as him," the new star stated. "He gets to pick and choose who he works with, and to say I got to write my first single with him is insane!," Ella added.

Ella Henderson stated she felt incredible and that she just can't believe the situation.

"All this support and the positive energy, it's amazing," Ella Henderson stated. She also added she was overwhelmed with the people's reactions to her single.

"The X Factor" finalist also gave the audience a preview of her first album "Chapter One" which will come out on Sept. 22, 2014. She stated the album will lyrically open to her growing up years, her life experiences and even her past relationships.

Ella Henderson also mentioned some big celebrities who have helped her realised the album "Chapter One." The names Babyface, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Salaam Remi popped out from Ella Henderson's mouth during the interview.

With Ella Henderson occupying the top spot in the UK Singles Chart, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran moved down to the number two spot with "Sing." Meanwhile, Dutch musician Tiesto just grabbed the number three spot with "Wasted" featuring Matthew Koma.

Meanwhile, British singer-songwriter Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" moved down from the second place to the fourth place in the UK Singles Chart. Rounding up the top five spot is Mr. Probz with his single "Waves."
