As we saw with Drew Ryniewicz's elimination from "The X Factor," fans can get rather intense when their favourite act is cut from the race.

And Nicole Scherzinger is feeling the heat right about now subsequent to sending last week's elimination to deadlock, which ultimately led to the removal of Rachel Crow. But new video shows that she may not have made that verdict on her own.

A video released by the entertainment program, TMZ, shows of a telltale whisper. Apparently, as Scherzinger consulted with co-judge Paula Abdul about the decision, Abdul was captured in the video saying the words, "just let it go to a deadlock."

Fans and viewers of the show are now wondering about two things: Would the outcome have changed had Scherzinger made her own decision and why would anyone ask Abdul anything?

As a result, many are still sending angry tweets and threats to the Pussycat Doll, but maybe now they'd stop for a beat to consider that someone else was in on that decision too. Crow, though, being the sweet 13-year-old that she is, has gone on defence about the judge's decision.

"I want to say to all those people, 'Stop, Please.' [Scherzinger] is the nicest person and the most beautiful person inside and out. ... She is amazing, and I don't understand why people are taking it out on her. It's no one's fault. It's not even America's fault. It's no one person's fault. It's just what God had in store for me. And I will be okay," she said.

She has also taken to her Twitter feed to plead mercy from her fans, again, in defence of Scherzinger. "Please don't be angry with @nicolesherzy she was put in such a tough position," she wrote late Thursday.
