'X Factor Australia 2015 winner' Cyrus Villanueva hints upcoming project, Twitter fans react
Cyrus Villanueva has given his fans a hint of his upcoming project through Twitter which gained mixed reactions from fans.
The “X Factor Australia” 2015 winner has a lot in store for the year and he even recently gave his fans a teaser of what to expect from him in 2016. Villanueva took to Twitter on Friday, Jan. 8, to reveal that his upcoming project was something that fans have been asking him to do. He wrote, “You asked for it, I've listened.”
The 19-year-old singer did not share other details in his Twitter post, although he did indicate that his new project would be revealed in five weeks time. He stated on the social media site, “Five weeks. #comingsoon." He also uploaded a picture of himself with his hand covering his mouth.

The Filipino-Australian singer’s post was met with various reactions, with most of his Twitter fans asking what the project could be. Twitter user Oscar Garcia Jr. wrote “@cyrusvill what is it?” He also included emojis with shocked expressions in his post. Meanwhile, Twitter user chantelle responded, “WHAT IS COMING.”
A few of the “X Factor Australia” winner’s fans also tried to guess what Villanueva’s cryptic Twitter message could be referring to. Twitter user Ahhnabanana702 wrote, “@cyrusvill 5 weeks? New single? New album? A tour? I mean a cover shouldn't take 5 weeks right?” A few fans have even conveyed their excitement over Villanueva’s upcoming project, while some took to Twitter to thank the singer for listening to his fans’ requests. Twitter user Danii Chan wrote, “@cyrusvill Thank you for listening. In return we will keep on supporting your career.”
Villanueva’s music career began when he won the 2015 “X Factor Australia” reality singing competition in November 2015. The singer has already released his first single “Stone” which debuted at the top spot of Australia’s iTunes chart. It has even surpassed Adele’s hit song “Hello” and Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and “Sorry,” when it was first released.
Villanueva’s self-titled album “Cyrus” was released on Dec. 11, 2015.
