“The X Factor Australia” has sent another hopeful home. After the group Adira Belle’s elimination in the first week, it was solo performer Cat Vas’ time to go on Monday night after getting the lowest votes.

The 27-year-old Melbourne native had a great first week, with her rendition of “Addicted to You” got praises from the judges. But for this week, her “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” wasn’t received as positively. The judges still thought she was sensational, but the public didn’t think so.

She was put in the bottom two along with Joelle, and it was up to the girls to save themselves one last time.

Cat chose with her rendition of Radiohead’s “High and Dry,” which while beautifully performed, unfortunately left the judges unsatisfied.

Joelle, meanwhile, chose Ed Sherran’s “Give Me Love,” and, according to the judges, it wasn’t her best as well.

However, when it comes to the judges’ voting, Cat’s only saviour was her mentor, Dannii Minogue. The rest – Ronan Keating, RedFoo, and Natalie Bassingthwaithe – decided to send her home, giving Joelle a second chance and a spot in the top 10.

Before that, Cat was able to perform with the rest of the top 11 contestants in a medley of “Classic and Thank You” with pop stars MKTO. Also, Ricki-Lee performed her new single “Come and Get In Trouble With Me.”

Cat is the second performer next to group Adira-Belle who got eliminated from the show. Same procedure next week for the remaining ten contestants – Omar Dean, Taylor Henderson, Jai Waetford, Ellie Lovegrove, Jiordan Tolli, Dami Im, Barry Southgate, JTR, Third D3gree, and Joelle – in which they will perform on Sunday and one of them will be eliminated the next day.
