“The X-Factor USA” judge, Demi Lovato is among the first few celebrities who expressed support and sent love to the victims of the Kenya Mall attack.

Multiple gunmen opened fire at the high end Westgate shopping mall that killed 68 people and 175 others wounded. Following the siege on Sept. 21, Demi took to Twitter to share her thoughts as her heart goes out to the victims of the attack in Kenya.

Demi tweeted: “My thoughts and prayers are with the beautiful and incredible people of Kenya right now.”

Demi is joined by other celebrities who expressed prayers for the victims in Kenya, including an Tasmania-born Australian. Other celebrities who shared their thoughts on the victims include Alison Sudol, Olivia Munn and Melissa Gilbert.

Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy: “between DC & Kenya this week, my heart is so sore. such a tragedy that human beings would kill others so senselessly…”

Olivia Munn (“Newsroom”) said: “What’s happening in Kenya right now is so scary and sad. My thoughts are with all of the hostages, victims and their families.”

Melissa Gilbert tweeted: “My heart is just aching for all those involved in the mall attack in #Kenya. My prayers are with the victims, their families.”

It should not come as a surprise that Demi has soft spot for people in Kenya. The Latina singer had travelled to Africa on July 14 and participated in the advocacy involving a Canadian-based charity called, “Free the Children.” It is an organization that enjoins the youth around the world advocating for change.

The trip also served a milestone for the “Neon Lights” singer as she celebrated her 21st birthday in the region. Demi continues to stay away from hard drinking and partying after her short stay at an Illinois rehabilitation center in 2010.

The X-Factor USA judge whose “Heart Attack” single has received certification from Vevo after being viewed more than 100 million in August 2013, has served as a great inspiration particularly for the millions of fans who follows her on social media and those who adore her works.

Demi released her fourth album, “Demi” in May 2013 and her record label, Hollywood Records is said to be releasing her third single from the album. This is the first time that the singer will be releasing her third single as it was never done in any of her first three ones.
