‘The X Factor New Zealand’ Judge Natalia Kills Swears at Audience, Children During Audition Filming
“The X Factor New Zealand” judge Natalia Kills has unleashed a curse-laden tirade at the audiences, which included children, during the audition taping on Tuesday night. According to witnesses, the English songstress didn’t hold back when she told the audience to shut up.
Stuff reports that new X Factor judge Kills, 28, was forced to address the crowd in a less than pleasant manner when they got a bit forceful. She went overboard when she started using foul languages at the audience where children were present.
An audience member described the incident to the paper. During the audition filming in Auckland, a contestant had apparently been “mouthy” to the judges, and the audience was pressuring Kills to let the contestant through. However, Kills wasn’t in the mood to placate the audience.
“She swore and screamed at the audience and then half the crowd left, and some mums yelled out about her swearing,” an attendee told Stuff. Kills then left the stage after the incident.
The producers told the audience to stay on their seats, but some mums in the audience yelled back in protest. The filming was then cancelled after some of the crowd left.
Her behaviour was quickly reported on social media, with some members of the audience criticising Kills for her outburst.
Natalia Kills and Willy Moon are so arrogant, stuck-up and rude. Swearing at children now, are they...? #xfactornz

The show’s publicist Jeane Mowatt has acknowledged Kills’ lapse of better judgment, saying, “During a long day of filming, ‘The X Factor NZ’ judge Natalia Kills expressed frustration at the behaviour of some sections of the audience. Her words were not well chosen, and both Natalia and TV3 apologise for any offence caused.”
Kills is one of the two new judges in the upcoming TV3 reality show. Her husband, Kiwi musician Willy Moon, is the other one. They join returning judges Stan Walker and Melanie Blatt for the second series of the show.
Earlier this week, another studio audience claimed that the show was rigged. YouTube Vlogger Brad Fisher was sitting near the judges’ panel when he noticed a pattern in their decisions. According to him, a producer called the shots in the show, deciding who got to pass or fail the rounds. Contrary to what the audience and viewers thought, the judges didn’t have a say on the audition.
