“The X Factor” (UK edition) boyband Stereo Kicks could get smaller before the next live show. The eight-piece group’s mentor Louis Walsh is said to be cutting down its members to six.

Walsh and show creator Simon Cowell are said to be getting frustrated with their earlier decision to put eight solo young male singers into one act. The judges, more specifically Cowell, originally thought that putting that many members in a boyband would be a revolutionary move, but are now starting to realise why successful boybands only have six members at most.

According to a report, Walsh is considering kicking out two members to make a more manageable group.

“Louis is looking at whether two should go,” an insider told The Sun. “This is already being talked about with the group and the rest of the boys are open to it.”

The source continued, “It would be gutting for the two who go but they might have to sacrifice. Simon Cowell put the boys together but realises eight was wrong and has given his backing to a cull.”

As for the unfortunate lads who might be going home prematurely, it was speculated that 14-year-old Charlie Jones and 16-year-old Reece Bibby would probably receive the bad news.

Meanwhile, another member, Jake Sims, has expressed regret over posting his nude selfie online, though adding that some of his band’s members “high-fived” him.

A naked photo of the 19-year-old singer was recently leaked online. He apparently took the image himself when he was underage. He then posted it on Twitter before immediately deleting it. Unfortunately, some people was still able to get hold of a copy of the photo.

“I was young and stupid when I posted that picture. It’s bad enough when you send a picture to someone and they leak it but I’ve no one but myself to blame,” he told The Sun.

“It was embarrassing and I was worried it would affect the band negatively. But most of the guys just high-fived me and the fans commenting just said, ‘Impressive.’”

He added, “Joking aside, people should know that if they take these pictures they can get out there.”
