“The X Factor UK” has named Ben Haenow as its winner after he beat Fleur East from getting the coveted crown on Sunday night. Sam Smith, Olly Murs, Demi Lovato, and One Direction with Ronnie Wood were also on stage. Plus, sister act Blonde Electra caused controversy for kissing on stage.

It was a typical “X Factor” finale, with a handful of guest stars and lots of emotions running from both sides of the finalists. A brave Mel B appeared to have defied doctors’ order to rest and showed up at the finale, saying she was feeling “better-ish.”

After Mel’s lone act survivor Andrea Faustini was voted off the night before, Simon Cowell’s acts Ben and Fleur dominated the night, each one singing their favourite song (“Man in the Mirror” for Ben, “Uptown Funk” for Fleur), and both performing the Winner’s Song, OneRepublic’s “Something I Need,” separately.

Before they took the stage, host Dermot O’Leary teased the viewers of a “Rolling Stones legend” sharing the stage with former finalists One Direction. The legend was Ronnie Wood, and they performed “Where Do Broken Hearts Go,” inducing shrills from both parents and children viewers alike.

There’s the obligatory group performance by all finalists of the season. The 16 acts performed “What a Feeling,” showcasing their different vocal ranges and styles. It was a celebratory song performed at the start of the show. Of course, the axed contestants had to stand back when it was time for Ben and Fleur to shine. In case the viewers needed reminding, the finalists were Blonde Electra, Overload Generation, Stephanie Nala, Chloe Jasmine, Jake Quickenden, Jack Walton, Lola Saunders, Paul Akister, Jay James, Only the Young, Stevi Ritchie, Stereo Kicks, Lauren Platt and Andrea, who was just eliminated on Saturday.

Overall, it was the standard reunion performance for the contestants who have fortunately made it in the live shows, except for a brief moment, which some viewers thought was incestuous. British-German sisters Jazzy and Ruby King, who make the electro-pop duo Blonde Electra, made sure that their 15 minutes of fame is extended even for a few seconds more by kissing on stage. It was a closed mouthed liplock that lasted a bit too long and appeared a tad too passionate for sisters to share.

BLONDE ELECTRA. You should NOT kiss your sister like that. #XFactorFinal
