Was Demi Lovato’s fellow judge, Paulina Rubio, and her excuse for arriving late at X-Factor auditions valid or was it just sheer lame? Should Simon and other judges, Fox officials and the audience let her get away with it when she explained that “American Airlines lost her luggage,” leaving her no choice but have everyone wait for the show’s pre-taped episodes?

Paulina Rubio has shaken things up a little bit at the all-goody vibes the X-Factor USA has resonated since the start of the season, when the new judge arrived horribly late for the show’s auditions at Denver, Colorado. Citing a report by the RadarOnline, Entertainmentwise.com described Paulina apparently had Simon Cowell, and her two other fellow female judges - - Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland - - waiting in the last pre-taped auditions.

And the singer explained, it would not have happened if she could help it. She attributed her tardiness to American Airlines which had lost her baggage on her way to the auditions.

"I would have been on time if it was not for f**king American Airlines who lost my bags." Paulina said, explaining why she arrived late.

Though this could be a valid reason to let Paulina pass this time, but should she be really? Couldn’t she have had someone else pick it up for her at a later time? Or could she have just let it go and went straight to the auditions and just returned later to maintain integrity and responsibility as a new judge.

Being late for work is never good. No matter what excuses one has prepared for. If being late involves one or ten people at most and with urgency not as grave as the auditions and one that would not cost more than a dollar but time, then this could have been easier to accept.

But the auditions involve a lot of personnel to pay for, rental fees for the venues for extra time used up to make up for her being late and most especially, hundreds if not thousands of studio-audience who waited with the judges. The audience must have waited longer than the actual call time for the show to get started. Doesn’t Fox have any people assigned to take care of things like these? You call them temp or interns, a go-getter - - one who could be asked not only to buy coffee at Starbucks but also emergency stuff like this. And this was emergency!

These are some of the factors Paulina could have considered before deciding to worry about her luggage than showing up on time at work. Could the incident be the end of a good beginning or has Paulina learned her lesson early in the show?

The new two female judges has been a good change for ‘X-Factor’ claimed a Fox official. Even judge Demi Lovato gushes over having Paulina and Kelly on board for Season 3.

"It's a lot of fun being on a panel with two other women. It's kind of like a bachelorette party when there's a cute guy that walks on stage. We're all on one side like, 'He's so cute!' and [Simon]'s [has] his arms crossed all mad and jealous," Demi was quoted as telling People magazine in an interview.

Paulina has always been on the same page with Demi when she said: “We're having so much fun and on top of everything else, we're discovering great talent."

So for, all is well but let’s hope things end well by end of Season 3 of the ‘X-Factor’ USA 2013, which usually takes place last Thursday before Christmas.
