The “X Factor USA” is holding its season finale on Dec. 18 and 19, 2013. Fighting for the win are Alex and Sierra from Simon Cowell’s team; Jeff Gutt from Kelly Rowland’s team and underdog, Carlito Olivero from Paulina Rubio’s team. Only Demi Lovato has no contestant to make it to the Top Final 3. Her last group, Rion Page was the last woman standing after losing to Carlito Olivero on Live Week 5, Top Final 4 last week.

Here are the top things you should know about the Top 3 Finalists on “The X Factor USA.”

Alex & Sierra
Group Act by Simon Cowell

The real-life lovers who came to the show as a team, have been the darling of the crowd since day one on “The X Factor USA.” They impressed the judges with their vocals with their rendition of Britney Spears’s “Toxic.” In fact, according to Simon based on their auditions, “America will fall in love” with Alex and Sierra.

The American pop duo are based from Florida. Alex Kinsey is from New Smyrna Beach while Sierra Deaton hails from Orlando. Both 22, the duo came to the competition as a team. They have been dating for years and the “X Factor” judges have loved their chemistry on and off the stage.

Jeff Gutt
Over 25s Act by Kelly Rowland

Jeff Gutt is a member of Kelly Rowland’s Over 25s act. His information found online describes the 37-year old as a vocalist, musician, songwriter and performer who hails from St. Clair Country, Michigan. This is not the first time that the father of one is back trying to make his luck in the entertainment scene.

Gutt auditioned for early season of the “X Factor USA” but failed to make the cut. He was given another chance when he auditioned in September 2013, and made an impressive rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep.” America allowed him to advance to Top 12 with Pink’s “Try.” Critics have advised him to focus on his singing and the quality of his voice for the win. It will be recalled that Gutt has received some backlash in October 2013 for his constant reference to his son for his video featurette. The 37-year old hopeful has had sleeping problems during the competition and almost cost him a chance to win the reality singing contest.

Carlito Olivero
Boys’ Act by Paulina Rubio

He has always been the underdog. Carlito Olivero is the only hopeful on “The X Factor USA” who has the most number of times on the chopping block. He has been on bottom two more than a couple of times before beating Rion Page on Top Final 4 and advance to the season finale.

Olivero is a 24-year old contestant from Chicago. His life is an open secret, as he told America how life has been for him before the competition. He has no qualms sharing spending the night at his car while trying to make ends meet.

He was told on Top 10 Final week that he was just a good dancer who could sing. But Carlito said, Wet Paint is one contestant who takes mentor’s and the judges’ advice to heart and he did everything possible to make it to the finals.

The two-part finale of “The X Factor USA” 2013, Season 3 airs on Fox from Dec. 18 to 19, 2013. This year’s judges include Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.
