Is Fil-am hopeful, Ellona Santiago really the one to beat on “The X Factor USA?” Has the 17-yearold hopeful from San Lorenzo, Calif., won the hearts of America? Has she even beaten out Alex and Sierra who Simon Cowell earlier declared as the ones to fall in love with?

Too many questions have come out after Ellona’s performance on Motown week with “Baby Love” by the Supremes on the first night, and "Titanium" by David Guetta on the second night.

These questions may be reverberating in everyone’s minds after her live performance on Week 12 of the Fox reality singing competition. Judges continue to love her and their confidence in Ellona resonated to the viewing public.

On her first performance Wednesday night, judges declared Ellona as one to watch out for. Since the Four Chair Challenge was introduced in Oct. 2013, Ellona has been under Demi Lovato’s wing on the “Girls” group and according to CelebrityLaundry.com, the judges felt that “Baby Love,” by the Supremes was the best choice for her.

Ellona performed. She delivered. Like on Week 11, the judges were impressed. CelebrityLaundry.com noted that Kelly Rowland pointed out that teen hopeful is indeed a “powerhouse” expressing her surprise by her performance and noting that Ellona has earned her respect.

The news outlet added that Simon Cowell admitted having doubts when she first came out on stage. But when she started to give her all with her Motown week song choice, Ellona, he said, had “nailed it.” But the British mogul was impressed not only by her performance. According to CelebrityLaundry.com, Simon even took note of Ellona’s “killer eyes,” adding he’s seeing the hopeful’s determination through her eyes.

Day one on Week 12 for Ellona was great as usual but Smallscreenscoop.com emphasized that her performance on Week 11 was still her best.

Her performance of “Baby Love” earned a lot of praise from the judges. "It wasn’t my favorite performance of the night, though. I thought Ellona’s performance last week was far, far better. But I’m sure her performance was good enough to keep her in the contest for at least another week,” Branden of Smallscreenscoop.com said in reference to Ellona’s performance of “Till the World Ends” by Britney Spears.

Her first song for America’s vote may have failed to outdo her Spears’ cover, but Ellona was able to redeem herself on Day 2 on Week 12.

As she took the stage “save me” song on second night for Top Final 13 week, Ellona blew the judges away with her take of “Titanium” by David Guetta.

Her performance on Nov. 7, Thursday overshadowed what she did the night before and all doubts, if there were any on the part of the judges have been erased.

According to Zeibiz.com, the judges could not be more impressed with her rendition of Guetta’s hit song:

Simon Cowell: That was your best performance you’ve ever done.

Demi Lovato: I’m so proud of you. You just showed the world that you can stand on that stage without dancers.

Ellona Santiago is a 17-year old contestant from San Lorenzo, Calif. Will she be the next Fil-am to make it in Hollywood’s music scene?
