Xbox 360 Update: Battlefield 4 Hits Today, Call of Duty Ghosts Addresses Stability Issues, Minecraft Patch Details Hinted
According to Battlelog, DICE is about to roll out another Battlefield 4 update on Xbox 360 on Jan. 17 to improve the game's overall stability and also implement a few of other fixes. The update fixes implemented updates pushed early in the week for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the title.
Blood showing before other damage indicators do during kills, dying soldiers with one health point rather than zero, health amount and scoreboard rank icons not updating live and friendly markers now always showing which results to players shooting teammates have all been fixed.
Repair rates across vehicles are also normalized with low health vehicles repairing slower now while handling attributes for Stealth and Attack jets have been improved. Animation and camera glitches plaguing gamers moving in a crouch and turning from first to third-person view have been fixed as well. The M1 Abrams Coaxial HMG ammo box will no longer block the driver's camera, engine sound dropout has also been changed, Stealth Jet 20 mm cannon has its damage increased 25 percent and China Rising DLC animation glitches occurring when motor passengers air are not an issue any longer.
Post notes say Xbox 360 users may experience a bit of downtime in Battlefield 4 while the update is being implemented. DICE continues to push patches for Battlefield 4 across different platforms as the game approaches its third month since release.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Ghosts has also received a title update on Xbox 360. The update addresses Broadcaster mode stability and also adds a kill feed to it. Other notes also include disabling third-person spectating in Private Matches, restricting Danger Close, tracker sights and Ghillie suits in competitive rules. Players will be prompted for the patch once they log into the game.
On other news, 4J Studios hinted a few details of the TU14 patch for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. According to the company, the upcoming title patch will be based on the 1.3.1 version of the original Minecraft game running on Java in personal computers.
The development team also plans to add content that came out in more recent iterations of the PC game. The 1.3.1 Minecraft version enables the ability to trade with non-playable characters and introducing the emerald element. The TU14 patch release date was not disclosed, though.
