Xbox One E3 2016 plans and activities, ID@Xbox Game Fest in May happenings announced
Next month, game enthusiasts can look forward to E3 2016, the most anticipated trade show for games every year. Microsoft is among the first to unveil is plans on what it will be bringing to the table in L.A.
Major Nelson revealed via his official blog that the Xbox E3 2016 Briefing will happen on June 13, 9:30 a.m. PDT. Xbox fans can check expect a lot to be showcased, from trailers of anticipated games to more unannounced titles for the year.
The Xbox E3 2016 Briefing will be available live via Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada, Xbox.com, the Xbox Twitch Channel and Xbox Live Events Player on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. At the event, Microsoft will also have the Xbox Daily: LIVE @ E3, which covers all of the happenings for the Xbox at the trade show.
This one-hour show will air on June 14 and 15 at 4:00 p.m. PDT. It will also have an interactive aspect for those who are watching via Xbox One.
As for Xbox fans who are able to attend the event in person, Microsoft has also prepared a few surprises, starting with the 500 tickets for exclusive access to the Xbox FanFest: E3 2016. The lucky 500 fans who will get a ticket will have some great perks, including access to the briefing at the Galen Center, a Xbox backpack with gaming swag, playtime with some of the exclusive titles for Xbox and possible meet-and-greet with some of the developers.
Before E3 2016, Xbox also has another thing in store for fans. The ID@Xbox program has made some strides, which is why the company is holding the ID@Xbox Game Fest. Detailed over at Xbox Wire, the entire month of May will feature a different and special batch of games.
From May 3 to 9, Xbox is inviting players to discover some of the memorable games on ID@Xbox. The week after, May 10 to 16, it’s a play-for-free titles week, as showcased on the Xbox One.
The ID@Xbox department also has a lot of new games in the pipeline, some of which will be shown from May 17 to 23. According to Microsoft, this is a chance to sample some of these games as early access, though details on how and for what game were not provided.
On the last week of May, there will be some deals offered for the popular and acclaimed ID@Xbox games and bundles. The like of “Rocket League,” “Rogue Legacy,” “The Banner Saga” and “The Escapists” have been dropped.
“Just recently, ID@Xbox devs occupied four of the top five slots on both the Top Paid and Top Free charts on Xbox One, which is pretty rad! Looking at the titles we’re featuring in the ID@Xbox Game Fest, it’s hard to believe so many great titles have come through ID@Xbox over the past couple of years,” said ID@Xbox Head Chris Charla.
