An update for those who are looking to still find an Xbox One before Christmas rolls in - GameStop is having a sale that will also feature Xbox One bundles.

The "Joy to the Players" holiday sale will only be limited to those in the U.S., but according to DualShockers, the sale will have discounts of up to 50% for games in different platforms. The prices of games go down to as low as $39.99.

In addition, there are also discounts on refurbished consoles, including the PS3, Xbox 360 bundled with six games, Nintendo's Wii, and the PS Vita Wi-Fi model.

Nevertheless, the best of all is that GameStop will have four bundles, with the lowest one starting at $619.97. With these promos, you will have the choice of bundling the Xbox One with Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, or Ryse. The fourth bundle costs $739.95, and will be an Xbox One Exclusive bundle featuring all three games.

Cheaper Xbox One to debut in 2014?

For most buyers, price is no longer an issue when it comes to next-gen consoles. Given that stocks are flying off the shelves, and the promise of a holiday stock still bodes bundles instead of the console only, it's safe to say that paying a few extra bucks to make sure you get yours before the year ends is now the norm.

This is why the new bit of rumour may not have as much impact as expected. A report from WCCF Tech reports that a new version of the Xbox One may be coming out during the first quarter of 2014.

It's safe to assume that the Xbox One will not be bundled with the Kinect 2.0, so this rumour, according to the source, can either mean that a white Xbox One will now be available for the general public or that more bundles will be introduced to the market.

This can be a good way to expand to the remaining markets that Microsoft may want to tap in with the Xbox One - either by opening the then-exclusive white Xbox One option to more people, or by giving more ways to get a discount on games.

Everyone will soon be developers

It seemed only a few days ago that Microsoft first introduced a very restricting policy for independent developers at the E3 2013. Soon after, it followed up with the ID@Xbox, which aimed to make indie game development on the Xbox One as a more friendly approach to inviting more developers to their side.

To make this possible, NowGamer adds that Microsoft will distribute development tools to those individuals who have an Xbox One and are willing to commit to the project.

For now, only a handful of developers are able to publish with Microsoft, with some even having a few problems because of a clause in the agreement. However, it seems that in the long run, Microsoft wants to make the Xbox One a development tool for gamers.
