Is the royal couple's second baby confirmed? You bet. What is its sex and name? No one knows. However, a lot of people seem to be betting on everything related to it. The U.K. bookmakers, Ladbrokes, say that the odds of the second baby being a boy are 4:5 as compared to an "even money shot" for a girl, reports People.com.

So a number of bets are being placed on the names. The biggest gamble goes for James, Kate's brother's name, which has odds at 6:1. Other likely name choices are Arthur, with 8:1, and grandfather's name, Charles, or Thomas, with 10:1. Seven in ten bets are on the possibility of a baby girl. As the Queen's birthday is celebrated on April 21, Elizabeth is a favourite name. The odds favour Elizabeth and Victoria, at 8:1. There are rumours that Diana, after Prince William's mother, may also be chosen.

Whatever it be, the Royal Baby betting fever is high, according to Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes. According to People.com, she adds that as there is one correct gamble in the bag with the first royal baby, punters are again putting their money on the couple having a second son called James.

What about more than one baby making its appearance? That option is not possible, feel many. Not too many believe in twins or triplets. The odds being placed are 20:1 for twins and 100:1 for triplets. Bookmaker Coral has placed only half the odds on a "double pregnancy," and only 10-1 after a client placed a £1,000 bet on twins.

Paddy Power, which is another competing Irish bookmaker site, has drawn up its own list, with different names. The site gives Henry and Elizabeth as the favourites, with 10-to-1 odds. Its focus is not so much on the sex of the baby. It has drawn up Arthur, William, Philip and Charles as other male name favourites, while the female names remain Victoria, Charlotte, Alice and Alexandra.

Interestingly, the same prince could have most of the names. Prince George, the first born, is formally labeled as Prince William Arthur Philip Louis. "If there's one thing that baby George taught us it is that the British public love a punt [a bet] on a Royal offspring and we're bracing ourselves for another baby betting bonanza," Paddy Power says, according to People.com. He adds that the event has opened the doors to a money bonanza. This is thought to be the "biggest novelty betting market of the year."

The betting is striking not only the name or the sex. Paddy Power is putting its money on prediction of its weight, with 5-to-1 odds for less than 6 pounds, hair color with 6-to-4 odds for a brunette and chances of Kate having twins only 33 to 1. Another betting company, William Hill, is also looking forward to matching last time's "half a million pounds" on the royal baby.
