Young BGT Funnyman Jack Carroll at YouTube's Big Live Comedy Show, Beating Cerebral Palsy with Laughter? [VIDEO]
Britain's Got Talent becomes a platform for the launch Jack Carroll's brand of comedy. This 14-year-old who uses the name FatJacko on Twitter, is not letting cerebral palsy get in his way of bringing laughter to the world. Instead, he is letting his weaknesses become his strengths.
"Don't worry, I know what you're thinking: Harry Potter's had a nasty Quidditch accident," @fatjacko jokes during his Britain's Got Talent audition. A YouTube clip of this funny act has so far gathered over 3 million views on YouTube.
Despite drawing millions of fans, Carroll is keeping a steady head about his fame. He has joined comedy celeb Seth Rogen and other big names at YouTube's Big Live Comedy Show in LA, but he keeps it cool.
"I was just there to eat all the free food and shake a few hands," the young man told MailOnline. "I don't think anyone knew who I was...I had to walk down the red carpet with a sign on saying 'am I supposed to be here?!'"
Carroll visibly impressed Simon Cowell and David Walliams during his BGT audition. Walliams even called the young boy "a comedy genius." The kid, however, takes it lightly. (Scroll down to watch a video of Jack Carroll's audition on Britain's Got Talent.)
"I don't think so...I haven't made two of the nation's favourite sketch shows!"
As he continues to make a name for himself by making people laugh with his witty brand of comedy, Jack Carroll remains forthright.
"My intention was never to be an inspiration because all I do is lay at home and sleep, but if I am, that's a bonus," he said.
Talking backstage at the time of his BGT audition, Carroll muses, "A lot of times in comedy, your weaknesses are your strengths." His parents, who went to the audition with him, shares their kid is not worried about his condition. He is worried whether his jokes are funny enough, they say.
