“The Young and the Restless” cast is undergoing some major changes. After Michael Muhney who played Adam Newman and Billy Miller who played Billy Abott, there is yet another switch on the way for “Y&R.” This time, it is fan-favourite Cynthia Watros who plays Kelly Andrews in the long-running daily soap opera. She has decided to exit the show.

It is said that unlike Michael Muhney's Adam Newman, Kelly Andrews would not be killed. Instead Cynthia Watros will be replaced by "All My Children" actress Cady McClain. According to Examiner, news broke out with Angelica McDaniel's tweet that read:

We're all sad to see @watroswatros leave #YR for her new series on the East Coast. Please RT to welcome @CadyMcClain to Genoa City as Kelly!

Angelica McDaniel is the head of CBS daytime.

On Feb 25, Cynthia Watros confirmed her exit from "The Young and the Restless" by posting a tweet on her Twitter account. She said she was "sad to leave" the show. She also expressed her gratitude via tweet that read:

I LOVED being on Y and R. A big hug to the cast and crew! You guys rock! My fans and my not fans.I love you. I hope I didn't let you down.

March 14 is reportedly her last day of filming "Y&R." Her last shots as Kelly will air through mid-April episodes of the show.

Cady McClain who is known for "All My Children" character Dixie Cooney Martin will start filming scenes as Kelly from March 26, according to Utica Observer Dispatch. Her scenes will first air on April 24.

Cady McClain is an Emmy Award winning actress who claimed the titles for outstanding younger actress in a drama series and supporting actress in a drama series. Her other notable works include "As the World Turns" wherein she played Rosanna Cabot Montgomery.

Word is Cynthia Watros decided to exit "The Young and the Restless" to focus on MTV series "Finding Carter." Cynthia has landed herself lead role in the upcoming 12-episodes series. She will be shooting for 5 months in Atlanta for the new show, according to reports.

MTV's "Finding Carter" revolves around a teen's life who discovers she was abducted as a child by the mother she knows. The teenage girl starts a new journey to return to her lost family which means new parents, siblings and friends.

Meanwhile, more updates on "The Young and the Restless" suggest that Michael Muhney's Adam Newman will return to the show. CBS is conducting active auditions for the character who is thought to be dead by Genoa City residents in "Y&R."
