"The Young and the Restless" is set to air an explosive segment on Dec. 5, 2014. The show will feature highly anticipated moments that fans won't want to miss. Meanwhile, fans must brace themselves for some unexpected twists and turns in the storyline. Here are spoilers on the upcoming segment of "The Young and the Restless." [Warning: Spoilers Alert!]

The last-aired episode kicked off with some drama between popular couples including Billy and Chelsea and Phyllis and Jack. Billy and Chelsea discussed their relationship and future. Billy promises to be honest to Chelsea. Later, Chelsea and Kevin had a chance encounter and she revealed to him the details of the DNA test results. Kevin questioned the longevity of their relationship and believed that Victoria and Billy still love each other.

Meanwhile, Sharon paid a visit to Faith and tried to cheer her up. Faith asked Sharon why Nick is so mad at her. Elsewhere, Nick was alright paid a visit to his son and Sage wanted an update on his health. Adam tried to stop her and warned her to not ruin his plans. Later, Sage tried to delve into Adam and Nick's relationship and the two ended up butting heads once again.

Back in Genoa City, Mariah and Kevin bonded. She opened up about how she feels about Christmas and other things around her. Phyllis told Jack how things have changed in the one year she has been away. She surprised Billy and Jack by announcing that she wants her job back at Jabot in R&D department. Billy was not too happy and was reluctant to give it away.

Adam prepared to return to Genoa City as Gabriel Bingham. However, Sage believed that he is not prepared. Toward the end, Phyllis fired Sharon from her job and Kevin surprised Mariah with a Christmas tree. Billy and Chelsea also kickstarted their preparation for Christmas and Nick looked out for the woman who saved her life.

Moving on to Dec. 5 episode of "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R), TV Guide and We Love Soaps have presented a brief description of the upcoming episode teasing exciting spoilers. According to the report, Adam Newman will finally return to Genoa City, despite Sage's protests and threats to reveal his real identity to the police. It seems Adam can't wait to reclaim everything that was his before the explosive accident last year. Will he be able to do that?

Furthermore, in shocking turn of events, Joe and Avery eradicate differences and reconcile. What will happen when Dylan finds out? It is definitely going to break him. At Jabot, things take an interesting turn between Stitch and Ashley, when he catches her off-guard once again. Fans know that the two have been trying to suppress their feelings for each other.
