On the next episode on “The Young and the Restless,” a glamorous winter gala will be kicking off and fans are yet to see the residents of Genoa look their best as this big event takes place. There will be minor issues, but all will be solved and the celebration will successfully take place. For some, situations will get a little heated as things are sorted to where they should be. Others will turn vengeful.

On the December 28 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” The Abbott-Winters gala has finally arrived. Things will turn tense between Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will get her anger and pain get the better of her.
At the gala, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will come across a venue issue, but Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be on the rescue. Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) will be very much delighted to host the event, but things will not go as planned. Nevertheless, Soaps She Knows says that the event will end positively overall.
As for Nick and Chelsea, it is revealed that their bond will become stronger. As their relationship gets more intense leading up to New Year’s Eve, they will not be sure how they will process it. Nick and Chelsea will have a lot of things to sort out in the weeks to come.
As for Mariah, it’s been revealed that she will be taking her live TV tumble on a deeper personal level. She will suspect Hilary to be behind all the embarrassment. She will confirm it soon -- and will not let it go unpunished for the New Year.
