The New Year seems to fuel more drama, intense conflicts and unexpected twists on the upcoming episodes of “The Young and The Restless” (“Y&R”). This week, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) faces some challenging days ahead. Her son, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), has suddenly appeared on her doorstep, which leads to a confrontation between her and Victor (Eric Braeden).

In addition to this new development, Victoria will have her hands full with Billy (Jason Thompson), who’s pushing himself back in her life. Spoilers suggest that she’ll put up a wall and put Billy in his place, but he’d soon be able to win her back. Other “The Young and the Restless” cast members who will appear on the Jan. 3 to 6 episodes include Lily (Christel Khalil), Hilary (Mishael Morgan), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Neil (Kristoff St John), Gloria (Judith Chapman ), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Lauren (Tracey E Bregman), Michael (Christian LeBlanc ), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Paul (Doug Davidson), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Ravi (Abhi Sinha ) and Jack (Peter Bergman).

CBS has posted a sneak peek of “Y&R” for Tuesday’s episode. In the trailer, Victor confronts Victoria about Reed’s arrival. “Reed suddenly shows up on your doorstep,” he says. “What’s going on?” Meanwhile, Lily screams at Hilary, “It is because of you that he was in that car! If he doesn’t make it through, it is on you!” At the hospital, Devon lies unconscious.

TV Guide reports that Wednesday’s installment focuses on Jack, as he says something that ticks off Billy. Nikki, on the other hand, urges Paul to tell the truth, while Ashley clarifies things with Ravi.

On Thursday, “Y&R” features Phyllis, who enjoys her life as a single woman. Meanwhile, Lauren hides the truth from Michael. Elsewhere, Nick and Chelsea talk about their New Year’s kiss.

Wrapping the week on Jan. 6, Gloria leverages on a secret to work on her favour. Victoria, on the other hand, sets boundaries with Billy, while Neil cautions Hilary that her devious schemes may backfire on her.
