"The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) viewers have witnessed some big reveals in the past few weeks. As CBS' daytime soap opera moves ahead, consequences of these revelations surfaces. Picking up from where it left, "The Young and the Restless" features some tension-filled and high-on-drama episodes in the coming week. According to spoilers by Soap Central, Summer and Austin's wedding plans are thrown off a bit due to some unexpected events.

Dylan and Paul are not the only ones who have been affected by the big truth. Ian is equally impacted and he has a plan targeting Nikki. Due to the stress created by the circumstances, Nikki finds herself tempted to give away her sobriety. However, her heart-to-heart conversation with Katherine at Chancellor Park lets her vent out pent up feelings and makes her feel better.

Meanwhile, Christine, Nikki and Victor have a chance encounter at the police station. Christine realizes "Nikki's growing dependence on Paul." This leaves Christine uneasy. Christine's anxiety only grows further when she finds Paul defending Nikki's actions related to Ian Ward.

Lily plays a trick with her soon-to-be stepmother, Hilary. She offers to pick Hilary's dry cleaning. Hilary is appalled to find out that her clothes are missing. Meanwhile, Devon comes to assist her and find her things. Things take a turn and they share a moment together. Devon tells Hilary that he is leaving the town. The news leaves Hilary dismayed. But what follows after changes things forever for them. Cane discovers Hilary and Devon "half-dressed at the dry cleaners." Neil confronts Hilary and asks her to explain her association with Devon.

Jack finds out about Austin's arrest. Harding intimates Jack about Austin violating his parole and how it resulted in his arrest. At the same time, Police Department of Genoa City welcomes Chief Paul Williams back in the department.

Victor discovers that Mariah is staying with Sharon. He tries to find out evidence leading to Sharon's secret. Elsewhere, Colin looks out for partnership with Lauren. Traci brings with her disturbing news. Stitch threatens Chelsea. Chelsea and Billy's stalker watches them caught up in an intimate moment. Kelly reveals more secrets about Stitch to Jack.

In additional news, "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) has signed up a new actor. TV Guide reported that "The Young and the Retless" fans will get to see a new face and witness more drama when Scott Elrod will arrive at Genoa City as Joe Clark. Joe Clark is Avery's ex husband. He is the one she cheated on with Dylan and could never forgive herself for doing so. According to the Web site, the show rep has revealed that "viewers can expect Joe to have more than a few tricks up his sleeve as he crosses paths with several key Y&R characters."

This means Joe Clark is here to stay and spice up the ongoing storyline of "The Young and the Restless." Scott Elrod is known for his role in ABC's "Men in Trees." Episodes featuring Scott Elrod will air in early Oct. 2014.
