"The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) is set to air eventful and entertaining episodes in the week of Dec. 29 - Jan. 2. While New Year's festivities take over the Genoa City residents, some dark secrets get uncovered. The storyline takes an intriguing turn when Adam Newman is about to be exposed. Soap Central has presented detailed spoilers on the next five segments of the CBS' long-running daytime soap opera. According to the media report, Adam/ Gabriel's secret might be revealed. Nick begins to "put the pieces together about Gabriel" and he may realise Gabriel actually is his brother Adam. Furthermore, Adam comes face to face with Chelsea and "makes a move on" her.

Elsewhere, Neil finds a confidant in Phyllis. Meanwhile, she makes special plans for New Year's Eve with Jack, who actually wants to keep the celebrations low-key. She makes reservations at Genoa City Athletic Club for New Year's Eve bash. Later, Jack finds out that the gala event is "hosted by" his ex-girlfriend Kelly. Meanwhile, Kelly learns her ex-boyfriend will be coming to the event with his fiancée Phyllis. Seeing Jack alone at the party "excites" Kelly. Later, however, Jack informs Kelly that Phyllis will be coming late.

Jack attempts to clarify things with Kelly. However, it remains to be seen how far he'll be able to pacify her. Kelly accuses Jack of betraying her, once again. Meanwhile, Phyllis arrives at the party venue and sees them together. According to the report, she ends up "misinterpreting" the situation and freaks out over it.

Elsewhere in Genoa City, Nikki reveals a dark secret. Things take an unexpected turn when Mariah "surprises" Kevin. As for Victoria and Stitch, they decide to resume their romantic life and enjoy a date. A miracle happens when Neil briefly sees the light, again. Tension rises between Nick and Sharon as they continue their legal battle over Faith's custody.

He also shows him the "wound" from the bullet Billy shot at him. Furthermore, Ashley reestablishes contact with an old pal and Jill and Cane talk about their future together.
