"The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) is set to feature some very entertaining episodes in the week of Dec. 8 - 10. The show reaches new heights of drama and action when Adam Newman arrives at Genoa City. Showcasing some highly anticipated moments, the storyline takes jaw dropping twists and turns. The week on NBC's long-running soap opera begins with some drama revolving around Justin Hartley's Adam Newman. Soap Central has presented some detailed spoilers. According to the media report, Adam Newman makes his first appearance in Genoa City, during which he "crosses paths" with his wife Chelsea and her boyfriend Billy. Chelsea long assumed that her husband is dead and has moved on with Adam's biggest enemy Billy Abbott. It is said Adam's return is going to shake up things in the town as it "causes anger and confusion to the residents."

Elsewhere, things don't appear too good between Dylan and Avery. In the upcoming episodes, their storylines takes an intriguing turn when "Dylan catches Avery off guard." On the other hand, Stitch receives unexpected news and he makes a daring move with Ashley.

Sharon is now determined to fight and win Faith's custody case so she hires David Sherman as her lawyer. Actor Robert Grant reprises the role of his character in Dec. 12 episode of "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R).

Meanwhile, Phyllis' return to Jabot stirs up drama in the Genoa City. As per the report, she unveils many details and truths that she missed out on when she was in the hospital. She reportedly "declares war" with Kelly is determined to even scores with her.

Things get bad between Phyllis and Kelly, while Kelly battles with her personal problems. The two get into a major "confrontation." Things get chaotic when Kelly ends up "slapping" Phyllis. In her rage, Kelly reveals secrets of her relationship with Jack. She tells Phyllis how Jack was in love with her and reveals that they were living together in Jack's house.

Elsewhere, Lauren makes big plans for her wedding anniversary. She organises a surprise party for her husband Michael. However, he doesn't turn up and this leaves her heartbroken. She suspects that he is in love with someone else and has a secret girlfriend. This leaves Kevin with no option but to take matters in his own hands. Will Kevin reveal Michael's big secret to Lauren without his consent?
