On Thursday August 18, Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) will shock Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) with unexpected news. Things shift to a more pleasant tone as Ashley Abbot (Eileen Davidson) and Jack Abbot (Peter Bergman) draw closer to one another. Things get even better when the feud between Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson) ends peacefully.
Jack will be facing off with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about tying Phyllis Abbot (Gina Tognoni) into a scheme. He will make it very clear that Victor has to stay away from his wife. While peace will be seen later in the episode, it appears that old foes are at it again.
Phyllis has been very protective of Summer Newman (Hunter King) and that protectiveness led her to collaborate with Victor. She would do just anything for her beloved daughter; even join forces with her worst enemy. Jack, on the other hand, does not like Victor too much. While he supported his release, he surely did not expect his collaboration with Phyllis.
The synopsis on Daytime Royalty Online notes that Dylan and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will get around newly discovered evidence. They will be shocked by all the clues that keep appearing one after the other. While Dylan has not been too brilliant lately, at least he has been doing his best to keep things together. He knows in his heart that Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) is innocent.
Lastly, Cane and Billy finally get on terms with one another. They have been on opposing sides since their dispute at Brash and Sassy. It is a relief to know that they have finally been able to put the conflict behind them.
“The Young and the Restless” airs on CBS every Monday to Friday in the US. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
