"The Young And the Restless" (Y&R) is set to air an interesting and eventful episode on Jan. 9, 2015. The upcoming segment focuses on some of the popular characters of the show including Sharon, Nick, Adam, Chelsea, Victor, Nikki and more. The last-aired episode opened with some drama between Nikki and Victor. When Nikki found out that her husband owns the holding company supporting Joe Clark to bring down Dylan's business, Nikki lashes out at Victor publicly. Nikki was hurt that Victor has been lying to her.

Meanwhile, Cane and Jill decided to team up in order to bring down Victor Newman and take Chancellor back from him. Nick bumped into Mariah at Cassie's grave. The two visited the gravestone to wish Cassie birthday. They had a deep conversation about the current situation and Cassie.

Elsewhere, Noah and Sharon talked about Cassie too and discussed how they miss her. Sharon planned Mariah's birthday and Nick decided to join in for celebration when Faith insisted.

As for Michael and Lauren, they approached a doctor for second opinion. The doctor revealed that Michael's cancer has reached third stage. At the same time, Lauren pushes him to begin the treatment as soon as possible. However, Michael is hard to convince and refused to undergo conventional treatment.

In the club, Kevin and Summer butted heads over Mariah. Later, at Cassie-Mariah birthday party things took an ugly turn when Mariah received a gift from Sharon. Kevin paid Mariah a special visit to wish her happy birthday and gives her a present. Later, however, Mariah got upset and left when Sharon presented her a gift that Mariah assumed belonged to Cassie. In the shocking turn of events, Mariah rushed to The Underground and end up kissing Austin, Summer's husband.

Moving on to the Jan. 9, episode of "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R), TV Guide and We Love Soaps have presented brief description teasing exciting spoilers. According to the media reports, the episode delves further into Sharon-Nick storyline and Faith's custody suit. Meanwhile, Sharon finds an unlikely ally, who is ready to help her.

Oblivious Nick approaches his brother Adam for help, thinking he is Gabriel from his boarding. Will Adam be ready to reconnect with Nick? Furthermore, Kevin sees Mariah kissing Austin, who is in a shock. As for Chelsea, she realises Connor's toy is missing from her apartment and Nick take flowers for someone. Jan. 9 episode of "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) airs 12:30 pm on CBS.
