YouTube's most popular political uploads are "Republican"
YouTube released a list of most-viewed videos under News & Politics. All videos in this list of the popular uploading website are "Republican."
With the mid-term election set to be held tomorrow in the US, it seems that Republicans are up for a come back if the popularity of their videos is to be believed.
YouTube News & Politics' Ramya Raghavan observed: "Every video in the top 10 comes from the Republicans, which is quite a departure from 2008 when left-leaning Yes We Can topped the charts."
"Congressman Assaults Student on Sidewalk" received almost 3, 000, 000 views. The view shows North Carolina Democrat Congressman Bob Etheridge manhandling a student who tries to interview him about US President Barack Obama's legislative agenda.
Arizon Immigation law is the top issue on YouTube this year with two videos about it making the cut in YouTube's top 10 list. "Arizona Sing-A-Long: Read Immigration Law!" received 709,607 while "Brewer to Obama: Warning Signs Are Not Enough" got 900,696.
Raghavan said: "[I]mmigration was an extremely hot topic on YouTube this year, with three of the 10 most-viewed videos about the Arizona immigration law.
"Two videos came from Arizona Governor Jan Brewer."
The top 10 most-viewed videos under News & Politics on YouTube includes official campaign videos, user-generated content and videos from interest groups.
