'High School Musical' star Zac Efron is bound for Australia this September to promote his new film Charlie St Cloud. Universal Picture said that the heartthrob would walk the red carpert in Sydney when the film premieres on September 19.

Efron has taken more grown-up roles since the hit High School Musical where he played a basketball jock confused over his sports career and musical talent. His most recent film 'Me and Orson Welles' are currently being shown in selected cinemas in Australia. Claire Danes star opposite Efron in the film.

In Charlie St Cloud, Efron plays the titular character whose future collapses following the accidental death of his younger brother. The movie opens nationally on September 23.
