Zac Efron, who recently dismissed reports he is engaged to longtime girlfriend and High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, is in no rush to get married.

The actor told US TV show Extra he will not be getting hitched anytime soon.

"No, I'm not gonna get married for a while," Zac said.

"I think I've always said I'm not gonna get married 'til I'm 30. I'm gonna wait.

"I wouldn't want that kind of commitment or pressure at this point."

Zac, who signed up to produce and star in a new untitled workplace comedy from the writer of his former motion picture 17 Again, recently acknowledged his relationship with Vanessa for helping him to evade the pitfalls of Hollywood.

"It helped me through quite a bit," he said. "There are myriad distractions to fall into in this business.

"To have someone to share with and to relate to is a very valuable gift."
