Another Disney star went off the track. Zac Efron has quietly completed a stint in rehab after suffering a serious cocaine addiction, according to new reports.

Zac didn’t seem to be the kind to get in trouble. He hasn’t hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in the past, and he appeared to have a great future in Hollywood. He has starred alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Blythe Danner, and Ray Liotta, and he still projects with several A-list stars lined up.

But apparently, the young actor had hidden a crippling addiction from his fans.

The former “High School Musical Star” reportedly spent a time in rehab to recuperate in April. Various gossip sites are reporting that the 25-year-old actor is now clean and sober after undergoing treatment.

TMZ cited unnamed sources that claimed Zac’s problem was rooted in cocaine. He also dabbled in a form of Ecstasy that has a street name of Molly.

His problem allegedly spiralled out of control while he was filming “Neighbours.” Sources said that he was unable to film on a number of days. It was even “common knowledge” on the set that he was struggling with the illegal drug.

Earlier in 2013, he reportedly went on a coke binge with some friends at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, causing around USD50,000 in damages.

But since completing his treatment, Zac is now “healthy, happy, and not drinking,” a source told eonline.com.

“He’s taking time to focus on working.

He was recently at the Toronto International Film Festival for his new film “Parkland,” a historical drama that follows the events leading to U.S. President John F Kennedy’s assassination.
