Hollywood star Zac Efron went to Australia to walk the red carpet in the premiere of his latest film, Charlie St. Cloud yesterday (September 9, Sunday) in Sydney, Australia.

Efron's Australian stop is part of his promotion of the film, previously travelling to Madrid, Munich and London.

What many fans could not help but notice is Zac Efron's new facial hair. But Efron was quick to assuage fans telling AP that his scruffy look is not permanent.

Efron shared that his girlfriend is not too fond of his facial hair, and even Zac Efron admits that it's too itchy.

Nevertheless, it didn't stop a contest winner from planting a kiss on Zac Efron's sweet cheeks.

In Charlie St Cloud, Zac Efron portrays the titular character whose future collapses following the accidental death of his younger brother. The movie opens nationally on September 23.Efron will be next seen in The Lucky One, which will begin filming in Louisiana.
