Zayn Malik Comes Back to Twitter, One Direction Fans Celebrate
Zayn Malik reactivated his Twitter account after having left the microblogging site for a little over a day. Fans shout out their delight in supportive tweets.
Malik left Twitter Tuesday after getting some hate tweets over a drunken night.
Twitter user @BlueJeansAri noted Malik did not appreciate the reactions on an old video in which he is seen drunk and flirtatious. But the 1D supporter explained: "He wasn't dating Pierre [Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards] at the time."
Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton drew flak when he posted the video of the incident. When Malik came back, Hilton said:
"Glad to see ya back, Zayn! We hope you always feel the love!"
Upon coming back to Twitter, the teen idol shouted out:
@zaynmalik: Sorry, I was getting some abuse on twitter but I dont want to let my fans down. So I am back!! :) x
An hour later, Malik followed up his coming-back tweet with:
@zaynmalik: And thanks for all your messages of support. I really do love all you guys, your support never ceases 2 amaze me xxx

Malik also hinted to fans his group is coming out with "big news," but they just could not share it yet. He tweeted:

Apparently, Malik was referring to the release of their latest single, "Live While We're Young." One Direction is set to release the first track of their second album on September 30.
