Zhang Ziyi Responds: "Completely ridiculous"

In her blog, Zhang described the allegations against her as "completely ridiculous."

In a statement to TodayOnline, Zhang's publicist said they read the Apple Daily report and they were deeply saddened by it.

"We read this outrageous report in the Apple Daily... It sent stone-cold chills down our spines and has left us with a feeling of deep sadness," the publicist said.

Zhang, who is also known for her role in "Memoirs of a Geisha," allegedly had a sexual relationship with Chinese politician Bo Xilai. While Apple Daily ran the story, it was reportedly picked up from Boxun.com a website in Chinese language.

Boxun Report

Boxun reported that Bo has a billionaire friend who also had sexual relations with Zhang. In turn, the actress allegedly received millions of dollars for sex.

"Friends have advised us to release a short statement and not take this seriously... The more you argue, the more you will stir up. It would be better to step aside until people lose interest and the lies disappear. The innocent will always be innocent," Zhang's publicist further told TodayOnline.
