Zoran Dragic will be joining his brother, Goran Dragic with the Phoenix Suns after signing a two-year $4 million contract with the ball club to formally complete his transfer to the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Shams Charania of realgm.com, a top news/forum website dedicated for American sports, shared the news via social media Twitter:

Slovenia star Zoran Dragic has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Phoenix Suns worth $4,012,500, league sources tell RealGM.

The Zoran and Goran pairing was much talked about in the 2014 offseason after the pair played well for their country, Slovenia in the recent 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. Because of the blood relations, it was assumed that the Suns would have a legit crack in getting Zoran’s services.

The brother tandem has now come into fruition with the recent signing. Curiously, the Dragic duo is not the only brothers in the squad now with the Suns also having forwards Markieff and Marcus Morris in the line-up.

Zoran’s last club stint was with the BC Unicaja Malaga in Europe. A buyout with the European club was worked on and finalised over the weekend.

The 6-foot-5 Dragic plays the small forward and/or shooting guard spots for his teams. He averaged 12.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in 7 games for the Slovenian national team in the last FIBA World Cup.

Dragic will most likely not get major minutes with the Suns immediately playing behind guard/forwards Gerald Green, Archie Goodwin, P.J. Tucker and even brother Goran or Eric Bledsoe who slides to the SG-spot sometimes as the Suns’s use a dual-PG system as well.
