Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband says the actress is still in critical condition despite receiving a blood transfusion.

On Saturday, Prince von Anhalt said the doctors are optimistic that the new medication will help the 93-year-old actress recuperate. The transfusion was given on Friday night.

Von Anhalt says his wife is conscious on Saturday morning. She was able to squeeze his hand and whisper a few words.

Gabor fell out of bed last week, breaking her hip, at her Bel-Air home and underwent a hip replacement surgery on Monday.

The Hungarian-born sexpot of the 1950s and 1960s had to use a wheelchair after being partially paralysed in a car accident back in 2002.
