'The 100' season 5 episode 12: War

War will finally begin in the penultimate episode of “The 100” season 5. A preview video of episode 12 that has been released online teases some action sequences, and the emotional and mental challenges the characters will have to face, fighting for the last habitable place on Earth.

Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) is obsessed about fighting for Eden. She has burned down the hydro farm at the bunker, giving her people a simple choice. They can either march with her for a chance to live or starve to death.

A preview video of the next episode [see below] shows Octavia ordering her people to attack. Paxton “Graveyard” McCreary (William Miller) and his people are well prepared for an invasion, and the Red Queen’s army will be facing a massacre in the next episode.

Octavia’s only hope is that Echo (Tasya Teles), Murphy (Richard Harmon) and the others find a way to neutralise the enemy. Judging by the preview however, it looks like Octavia will have to face a tough battle.

The previous episode showed what Octavia and her people went through, and what they were forced to do in order to survive. Marcus (Henry Ian Cusick) has never been a fan of all that has happened, and is happening. He wants to save the humanity in people. The preview video shows Abigail (Paige Turco) telling Marcus that their priority should be to survive, and then they can think about humanity after they are safe. Marcus, however, isn’t convinced with this approach.

The next episode is the first of a two-part story. It is titled “Damocles: Part 1.” This means that even if Octavia faces a setback in the next episode she may still be triumphant in the finale. The finale episode of “The 100” season 5 will focus on the last battle for survival between the prisoners and the heroes.
