Most apps from iTunes are worth free or 99 cents, but there a few that not only cost more than expected but are insanely expensive. Some developers are pricing their applications from $179.99 to $999. These apps aim one thing - to serve a wide range of specialised markets, professionals, law students gearing up for bar exam or flag-football enthusiasts.

One of the first apps offered from iTunes was I am Rich and its theme is to define that your family is filthy rich by buying the application. The price was set at $999.99.
