The 2013 US Open Tennis Championships has started last Aug 26 and will end by Sept 9. Rain has caused the games too much delay in New York but it remained to be a sought after tournament especially with the amazing performances of the players.

Rafael Nadal was all eyes on each ball thrown at him by Rogerio Dutra Silva from Brazil.
France's Alize Cornet fought well and hard as she competed against Anna Tatishvili of Georgia during the second round.
Alison Riske won the first set right against Germany's Mona Barthel.
Day four was certainly a tough one especially with the match between USA's Sachia Vickery and ISR's Julia Glushko.
Both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal achieved round 2 victories for the men's division while for the women's there are Victoria Azaranka and Serena Williams.
31-year-old Williams, who will soon become the oldest female tennis player for the US Open women's championship advances for her fifth Open tournament crown comfortably. She will soon face Kazakh Yaroslava Shvedova in the next set of games.
According to Williams, her opponent Galina played competitively well but she could not say less of herself for she did as good. On the other hand, Australian Open champ Azarenka will be matched to compete against Alize Cornet for the last 16 spot.
