2015 Met Gala: Amal Clooney Wears Maison Margiela Dress And Hits The Red Carpet With George Clooney

George Clooney and Amal Clooney hit the 2015 Met Gala red carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibit in New York City on May 4, looking all loved up. It was their first appearance on the Met red carpet as man and wife and the couple looked beautiful. The 53-year-old actor looked dapper in a Giorgio Armani black tuxedo, but Amal stole the show in her red gown.

George’s custom black tux comprised a black wool and cashmere tailcoat, while his jacket featured silk grosgrain lapels and a wing-collared white formal shirt and a bow tie. Amal stepped out on the carpet in a tiered, crimson-hued Maison Margiela Couture gown by John Galliano featuring a sequin-covered bodice and channelled Hollywood old glamour. The human rights lawyer rocked the show in her strapless silk organza gown. The cherry coloured ensemble had an armoured and studded bodice, while her skirt featured tiered satin and tulle.

The 37-year-old kept her raven tresses styled to the side in elegant, loose waves by renowned hair stylist Orlando Pita. Amal accessorised her ensemble and looked ravishing in a pair of jewelled earrings, bracelet and a matching red sequined clutch. George coordinated his outfit with his wife’s with a red pocket square tucked into his tuxedo.
