When Apple had started with the preorders of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the popularity of these smartphones were such that customers who had preordered the handsets had to wait for a week or two or even more to receive them.

It has been only few months since both the iPhones arrived in the market. According to NASDAQ, 169 million iPhones were sold this year. It further states that 80 percent of users upgraded to newer iPhones since this September in the U.S. The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are not only popular in the U.S. but also in the international markets as well. Apple is aiming to make the handsets available in 115 countries by the end of 2014.

Target is offering the iPhone 6 with a discounted two-year contract price tag of $189. It is also giving away $50 Target gift card along with the handset. Bloomberg states that Wal-mart is giving away $50 discount on all the variants of both the smarpthones. The 16 GB iPhone 6 and the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus are available with two-year contract through AT&T, Sprint or Verizon with a very low price tag of $129 and $229, respectively.

TechnoBuffalo states that according to Gene Munster, the senior research analyst with Piper Jaffray, the stocks of both the handsets are nearing all-time highs. At the time of launch, it was difficult to purchase an iPhone or iPhone 6 Plus with preferred storage space and colour. Munster says that at the moment 56 percent of both the handsets are available for purchase and by the end of 2014, 80 percent of all editions are expected to be available.
