The upcoming iPhone 6 release date will feature with a larger screen display, according to an analyst.

Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek said in his latest note to investors that iPhone 6 will pack a bigger screen display. One of the reasons why Apple will increase the screen size is because it got a great deal from one of its components' suppliers.

"Despite still seeing risk to CQ4 and FY13 revs, we now believe better [gross margins] will allow Apple to skate by until iPhone 6 launches with its 4.8″ screen."We est ~50% of smartphone shipments have >4″ screens and that iPhone 6 will catalyze a large upgrade cycle. The stock is attractive based on the attitude change, FY15 revs >+15%, and valuation," Misek wrote in his note.

This is also the stand of KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo who earlier claimed that a bigger iPhone is on its way. Misek and Kuo are the two analysts with good reputation when it comes to Apple predictions in the past.

The claim is also supported by an insider, saying that Apple will herald larger screen sizes next year. According to a report of GottaBeMobile citing ETNews, Apple is set release bigger iPhones and iPads.

Rumours are spreading too that iPhone 6's screen size will range from 4.8 inches to 6 inches. Some reports claimed that the screens are already on their testing phase.

The iPhone 6 release date is expected to happen in the first quarter of next year despite the recent release of iPhone 5S and 5C. Some reports stated that the new iPhone will be announced in March, which is the same time as the alleged release date of Samsung Galaxy S5.

According to rumours, iPhone 6 features may include a 6-inch Full HD screen display; 64-bit A7 processor or A8 processor courtesy of TMSC; M7 GPU chip; fingerprint sensor; Near Field Communication; larger internal storage of up to 128GB and iOS7.

However, Apple has not released an official comment addressing all the rumours.
